Welcome to our AISJ Empty Mugs Project online store!
Using some primary and secondary colours, with red, blue, yellow, and green, I aimed to highlight and accentuate the universal language of shapes and colours. Each side of the mug features a distinct form, a red star, a blue triangle, a green rectangle, and a yellow circle. These designs echo childhood creativity and abstract minimalism, inviting both nostalgic joy and visual creativity, even though I myself am a more maximalist person. The surface is speckled with dark purple dots, lending a spontaneous galactic texture that contrasts with the clean edges of the shapes. Though the mug is a utilitarian object, its design encourages self-reflection and interaction. It requests that the user not just sip from it, but also to see, to turn the mug and consider each form and shape in its placement and meaning. This piece of mine embraces the idea that art can be held, functional, used, and integrated into daily routines and rituals without losing its narrative power.
